10 thoughts on the Cowboys 38-3 runaway victory ov (25th Oct 23 at 1:52am UTC)

The Dallas Cowboys are back in the win column thanks to a 38-3 blowout of the New England Patriots. It was an excellent way to wash the bad taste out of their mouths after last week's frustrating loss to Arizona. We've currently seen the Cowboys control in 3 of their first four games. Below are ten ideas on this persuading rebound victory over the Patriots.1. Welcome back, defenseAfter taking a game off recently, the Cowboys' protection was back, and back in a big means. Comparable to the Giants game in Week 1, the Pats had a wonderful opening drive Cowboys Store, yet that was as good as it obtained for them. The Cowboys' protection was smothering. They held New England to 253 overall backyards and 4/13 on 3rd down. They were also 0/2 on 4th down. They had Pats quarterback Mac Jones so frazzled that he began making several questionable throws and was replaced by back-up Bailey Zappe.2. DaRon fireThere's been a great deal of worry about exactly how second-year cornerback DaRon Bland is going to stand up after taking control of the 2nd outside edge area after they shed Trevon Diggs for the year. After Sunday's video game, a few of that worry has actually begun to vanish. Bland was impressive in protection, selecting off Jones twice, consisting of one that he returned 54 yards for a touchdown. And he almost had one more choice previously in the video game when he tipped in front of DeVante Parker for the pass break up that he would've required to the home if had actually come down with it. Bland has played an overall of 21 NFL games and he currently has more career interceptions than every cornerback chosen in any one of the last 3 draft classes.3. No place to runAfter giving up 222 yards on the ground last week, the Cowboys' run defense looked better this week. They held the Patriots' top rush, Rhamondre Stevenson, to simply 30 backyards on 14 carries. It had not been a great homecoming for Ezekiel Elliott as he just gained 16 backyards on six brings. As a team, the Cowboys held New England to just 2.3 backyards per rushing effort. It was quite the renovation from the 7.4 backyards they gave up against Arizona last week.4. Red area battles continueThe scoreboard checked out 38 points, yet 15 of them came thanks to the defense. The Cowboys' violation racked up two touchdowns on the day, but there were numerous other circumstances where they had actually gotten in the 10-yard line and had to choose basket. They did all the heavy lifting to get down near the objective line, however then a mixup here or there and the drive stalled out.
