| Why is learning German so difficult? (30th Nov 22 at 9:53am UTC) | | English, as well as German, are Germanic languages, which means that they share an alphabet. Except for ä, ü, ö, ß, these letters are pronounced as a, ü, ö, ß. When it comes to German, it's easy to pronounce (compared to Dutch, for example), and you basically read what you see. There has been a suggestion to me that your native language may determine how easy it is to pronounce German. I believe that this should not be an issue for most Europeans, Americans, etc.
Improve your German speaking skills in as little as two weeks by joining our German language classes! Students are taught advanced techniques so that they can speak German fluently.
